- Guests with pet allergies (we have cats), phobias, etc. — please let us know beforehand so our animals can be contained. They needn’t be a problem, as they are trained not to enter the guest rooms or interact with the guests.
- All our rooms are non-smoking.
- The terms and conditions of the booking are deemed accepted on receipt of the deposit.
Child Policy

- Babies are not charged unless using our cot facilities (linen to be supplied by the guest).
- Waterproof bedding can be supplied on request.
- Games, jigsaw puzzles and the like can be supplied on request.
Pet Policy — Dogs
We accept pets by arrangement only. While we warmly welcome you and your precious animals, we do ask that a few simple rules are followed, as a courtesy to our other guests and our cats:
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times — and the lead attached to a human! (Running around the garden unattended with a lead on does not qualify.)
- Poop scoops to be provided by owners, and any “landmines” picked up as a courtesy to other guests.
- No bathing of animals in the bath (mainly large and medium dogs; toy and miniature breeds may be bathed, provided their claws don’t scratch the surface).
- Dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture. If not in cages, owners must provide adequate covers for furniture and bedding.
- Neither management nor their agents take responsibility for any injury, accident or sickness suffered by the dogs while on our property.
- The owner is solely responsible for any damage or injury to property, guests, guests’ property or our animals caused by their animals.
- If dogs are housed in our rooms rather than trailers, a surcharge of R30 per animal per day applies.
- Owners must ensure their animals don’t inconvenience or create a nuisance for other guests or the pets living on the property.
We’ve had the privilege of hosting many show dogs and their owners over the years, and have found all owners to be extremely responsible and a real pleasure to have.
Pet Policy — Cats & Birds
- We do not allow unneutered male cats, or cats that may spray.
- The owner is responsible for any damage from scratching, climbing curtains, and the like.
- All cats must be inoculated and clear of any feline-transferable diseases.
Adequate precautions must be taken to prevent damage to furniture or flooring from any mess falling from the cages.
Lost & Found
Lindisfarne B&B will inform guests of any lost goods, if found, by email or phone. All lost-and-found items are kept on the premises for 30 (thirty) days only; thereafter, if unclaimed, Lindisfarne B&B reserves the right to discard them. If a guest claims their goods, they must agree in writing to collect within a specified time; if not collected in that time, Lindisfarne B&B will dispose of them by handing them to the Hospice. Lindisfarne B&B shall not be responsible for claims of any lost goods, or for the safety of any goods kept for a guest after departure.
